The Aristea teretifolia, an Overberg endemic is an endangered plant growing on clay slopes. In the reserve of farm 215 it only grows in one location and only flowers in the first year after fire. The Lanaria lanata (cape edelweiss/ perdekapokblom) is a very common plant which can be seen in almost obscene abundance after fire on lower slopes. The Ornithogalum thyrsoides is very common on the flats, much to the regret of lifestock farmers. This "chincherinchee" is extremely poisonous for livestock and farmers are in the habit of pulling them out. The Chasmanthe aethiopica (Cobra lily) is restricted in the reserve to forest margins and have to endure regular onslaughts by the local baboons who feast on the bulbs.
