The Aloe juddii ("Koudeberg Aloe") has only (tentatively) been named in 2007 after being brought to the attention of botanists in 2004 by farm 215. It is one of a few fynbos aloes and the latest aloe to have been "discovered". So far it has only been seen on a few rocky outcrops in the reserve and on a neighboring property. The stunning flowers can only be enjoyed by humans if they see them before the Klipspringers eat them. If you cannot see any difference between the flowers of the two purple Corymbiums, you are not alone. There is however a clear distinction in the leaves. The common name of Aponongeton distachios is "Waterblommetjie", an edible water plant.
